I'll say it one last time

This bailout has nothing to do with your debt.
This bailout has nothing to do with people taking out risky mortgages to pay way too much for over-valued houses. This bailout has nothing to do with your inability to get a student loan. This bailout has nothing to do with making your life better at all.
Congress is about to pay off the debts of a handful of ridiculously rich and stupid banks. Congress is about to buy a trillion dollars of worthless paper from these banks - with your tax dollars. These are stupid investments THEY made, not you. YOU WILL SEE NONE OF THIS MONEY. Small businesses will still fail, homes will still be foreclosed, getting credit will still be difficult, people will still be laid off, but at least the banks will be happy.
In a month or two - when the reality and disillusionment sets in - you will be surprised, I will not.
Random rant: If the price of a barrel of oil has dropped over $60, why are we still paying $3.65 a gallon for gas?
As I Predicted Yesterday, Palin clearly won the debate last night. Biden did a great job responding to her jabs, and managed to not say something sexist or stupid, but Palin won with her one-liners, un-truths, Washington outsider appeal, and succubus smile. She did a great job switching the subject when something uncomfortable came up (which the moderator inexplicably allowed). Biden said a lot of good things, but this is a popularity contest. Americans are too stupid to worry about issues.
BTW - I have absolutely no respect for anyone who says “nuculer”.
The end is near. Thank Dog I didn’t bring any children into this world to suffer through the next decade.

I just want to remind you that her vote carries the same weight as yours does.
From the generally suspect, but this time spot on Washington Post:
Celinda Lake, a Democratic pollster who advised Biden during his primary campaign, said, "I think he could really crush her, but he has to do that in a way that is likable among women."
and
"I am not good at the one-line zingers," Biden said last month. "That's not my deal. If that's going to be the measure of how these debates are judged, I'm not going to do very well."
Watch tonight when Biden comes across as an arrogant, misogynist asshat (and possibly says something really unfortunate), then Palin wins with one liners, lies, and the “oppressed woman” thing. You heard it here first.
